Bourbon & apple cider cocktail

It’s feeling like fall around here. This is the perfect fall cocktail with fresh apple cider, bourbon and a ginger beer spritz topper.

You can make this in a big batch to serve a crowd but add the ginger beer just before serving or let guests top their own glasses as they pour.

THE DISH:

Bourbon & apple cider cocktail | serves 1


THE STUFF:

  • 2 ounces bourbon

  • 1 ounce apple cider

  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1/2 teaspoon pure maple syrup

  • 2 ounces ginger beer

  • apple slices, thyme or cinnamon stick for garnish


THE HOW-TO:

In a shaker with ice combine the bourbon, apple cider, lemon juice and maple syrup shake it up. Pour into a rocks glass filled with crushed ice and top with chilled ginger beer.

Garnish with apple slice and sprig of thyme or cinnamon stick.
