Blueberry smoothie

All the best stuff in this powerhouse smoothie packed with antioxidants and protein.

Personally I like to use frozen fruit whenever possible because I like more of frozen/slushy consistency, rather than smooth and creamy. This is a great way to use up fruit that is maybe near the end: especially bananas and berries! Move them to the freezer in a ziplock and they are ready to go for smoothies throughout the week.

THE DISH:

blueberry smoothie | makes 1


THE STUFF:

  • 1 banana

  • 1 cup organic blueberries

  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter

  • 1 scoop protein powder

  • 1 heaping teaspoon chia seeds

  • Handful of baby spinach

  • 1/2 cup almond milk

  • 5 ice cubes


THE HOW-TO:

Put everything in a blender and puree. Serve at once.
