Raspberry & nutella turnovers

How is it already February? Bring on the Valentine’s Day treaters! Love these easy turnovers using puff pastry.

This is such a fun project to do with kids too!

MORE FILLING IDEAS:

• s’mores: chocolate chips + mini marshmallows + crushed graham cracker

• mascarpone + apricot jam

• apples or pears sautéed in butter, brown sugar & cinnamon

THE DISH:

raspberry & Nutella turnovers | makes 3


THE STUFF:

  • frozen puff pastry, thawed

  • nutella

  • raspberries

  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tsp water


THE HOW-TO:

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cut the puff pastry into three equal rectangles. Top one end with a couple tablespoons of nutella and 3-4 raspberries. Fold over each turnover, crimp edges with a fork and transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Make a couple of slits or pricks on top of the pastries to create an air vent. Brush with egg wash.

Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Cool for a few minutes and serve warm.
